Bar Point is a scenic location on the Hawkesbury River opposite the junction with Berowra Creek. It is a water-access-only location and has superb panoramic views of the river, national parks and rugged sandstone hills.
The Bar Point public wharf is a 10 minute boat ride upstream from the Pacific Highway/M1 at Kangaroo Point/Mooney Mooney and approximately 15 minutes by boat from Brooklyn and the Hawkesbury River railway station. The Riverboat Postman, a regular mail boat/passenger service runs Monday to Friday, departing once a day from Brooklyn.
